Julie Seymour Regains Conscience 11-26-2006

Julie Seymour appears to be on her way to a long recovery.  T.E.A.R.S. representative Helen Byrd spoke with mother Diane Purviance last night at Cardinal Glennon’s Children Hospital in St. Louis.  Julie has regained consciousness intermittently and continues to receive round the clock care.  Diane overwhelmed with her daughter’s progress informed us that upon awakening Julie was coherent enough to “ask for her mom.”  Doctors have upgraded her condition to serious today and are hoping she will continue to improve.

Julie was airlifted from the accident site in Marissa last Monday that left 3 of her acquaintances dead at the scene.  KristensLaw has learned contrary to most reports Julie may have been the only victim that was actually thrown from the vehicle.  Tina Porter, daughter Allysa and friend Donna Calvert likely remained trapped in the SUV that upon impact was taken some 30 ft. into a railroad station house that was totally demolished.

T.E.A.R.S. continues to work with hospital officials making sure every courtesy is extended to the Seymour family.  The non-profit group will make contact with school officials as well as grief counselors following the holiday weekend on Monday.

Well wishers and KristensLaw supporters can mail correspondence for Julie to the address below.
