KristensLaw Reports on West Chicago Horror
Land Developer's desire to build homes on top of railroad tracks once again became a fatal mix. This time for a 3 year old toddler in suburban West Chicago. Adrianna Victoria-Chew was killed Saturday attempting to follow her cousin and sister across these EJ&E rails that pass through their neighborhood. The EJ&E owned property offers little or no containment between homes and train traffic. Residents throughout the community are calling for safety fencing that would separate young children from the nearby dangers.
T.E.A.R.S. representatives including VP Helen Byrd have been working with the family since the tragedy. "Fingers are being pointed at family members, when after viewing these surroundings it is clear this was an accident waiting to happen."
Railroad Safety Advocate John Davis has made contact with railroad officials to discuss alternatives to improve safety in this area.
The Family of Adrianna Victoria-Chew would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support !
